Covid-19 Situation made NY City to go to sleep
If a month and a half ago, New York City was full of life and color, these days it seems asleep. The streets are almost empty, there are no traffic jams, no yellow cabs, just the skyscrapers that a filled with people staying inside because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Our fellow Romanian, Eduard Palaghita, decided to take a trip into the city with his 1977 Dacia 1300. As he went on the main streets of NY, he stopped and made some pictures of his car.
On a normal day, he couldn’t find any space to park the Dacia near the Times Square subway station, now it’s completely empty.
The coronavirus situation is clearly making everyone stay home and keep a distance from others. By far, the U.S. is the most affected country, with over 600.000 cases and more than 26.000 deaths. The state of New York has over 200.000 infected cases and the empty streets are a clear message.
Although the Dacia has over 43 years old, it can still go over 100 KM/H. That’s something impressive.
